Wacky & fantastically chaotic random effect for when you spell do awry.
Wild Magic Surge:
With each subsequent spell you cast, the maximum threshold decreases by one that will result in a triggered wild magic effect.
Once a wild magic surge triggers the maximum threshold is reset.
Ex. On your first spell if you roll 1d20 and get a 9, needing a 20, the wild magic surge will NOT trigger.
On your second spell if you roll 1d20 and get a 12, needing a 19 or 20, the wild magic surge will NOT trigger.
On your third spell if you roll 1d20 and get an 18, needing a 18-20, the wild magic surge WILL trigger.
The threshold is then reset back to 20 for your next spell.
Bend Luck:
You can either spend one sorcery point OR roll on the Wild Magic Surge table to activate this ability.
Optional Filters:
These filters can mitigate the possible wild magic effects by filtering them based on either player or spell level.
When using the filters, at lower levels you will trigger effects of little consequence or power, removing the possibility of overpowered or deadly effects early in the campaign.
As the levels increase the more powerful and more detrimental the effects will become.
Increasing player level grants access to an increasing number of effects, encompassing those from prior levels.
Increasing spell level alters the severity of the effect.
Casting a lower level spell will always result in a inconsequential effect and casting a higher level spell will always result in a more drastic result.
